The Rapport Report & Aspergers made Awesome!

Check out "The Rapport Report" (link below)

It's a great article that teaches you ways to increase your ability to communicate with anyone, including yourself.  If you're a parent, like me, you'll notice that you already match and mirror your children at times when they need you to be "just like them" not a big grown up, not the voice of reason, just a friend with open arms and childlike curiosity to understand what they need and how they need you to give it.

Knowing Rapport Building Techniques has really helped me with my son. One of his biggest challenges he has been gifted in his life focuses completely on communication. It conveniently has a name that you may have heard of before or even be familiar with yourself...Aspergers.

A break in Rapport at a critical time could mean that a meltdown gets triggered.  In those moments when his coping skills are low, it is my gift to him to have this skill and to do it well.

I teach him how to have rapport with himself and others everyday.

The filters his world is perceived through can be less than compassionate and understanding at times so it's important that we create the neurological pathways around that filter to give him another choice.

The results have been phenomenal, at times he appears wise beyond his years.

One of the best choices I ever made was studying at The Coaching Institute I am forever grateful and continue to learn more and more with them everyday.   Rapport is a foundational key to our success...then there's Meta but that's a whole other blog :)

Here's that article The Rapport Report

Enjoy!
